Which Chastity Cage Should You Buy First?

The first device fails for one of three reasons: the ring does not fit, the material is
wrong for how long you intend to wear it, or the buyer chose a device that cannot be adjusted. All
three are decided before purchase, which is why the first device should be the cheapest thing that
gets the fit right — not the most impressive thing in the shop.

The decision, in order

  1. Measure first. Circumference behind the scrotum and flaccid length, in
millimetres, twice. Nothing below depends on anything else.
  2. Buy a ring set, not a ring. If the maker sells three rings, take all three.
Ring size is the single most common reason a first device is unusable.
  3. Match material to intended wear time, not to looks. Under 8 hours: anything.
Overnight: steel or polycarbonate. Multi-day: steel, or a well-finished polycarbonate.
  4. Check the gap is adjustable or well-chosen. A fixed gap that is wrong cannot be
    fixed with a bigger ring.
  5. Only then think about style, colour and extras.

What each first purchase actually gets you

Option Best for Fails when Typical price
Plastic (ABS) starter kit with 3 rings learning your size cheaply you want overnight wear; it softens with heat $10–40
Polycarbonate with ring set most first purchases you drop it on tile, or want years of use $25–80
Silicone comfort and discretion, short wear long wear — it deforms and holds odour $15–50
Steel with one ring buyers who already know their size the ring is wrong and there is no second one $40–150
Steel with ring set or adjustable long-term wear, best value per year price up front; weight takes adjusting to $80–200
Custom measured flaccid length above 100 mm, or a failed standard fit you have not yet learned what you like $150–400

What not to buy first

  • Anything “one size fits all” — adult circumferences run from about 100 mm to
200 mm, which is a 32 mm to 64 mm ring diameter. No single ring covers that.
  • A cage much shorter than your flaccid length — partial erections pull the whole
device forward and pinch at the ring.
  • A heavy decorative device — mass hangs from the scrotum; 300 g is a different
    experience from 120 g.
  • Two devices at once before the first one fits. Learn one fit, then buy.

A realistic first-month budget

Plan on spending twice the price of the device: the first purchase plus one replacement ring or a
second device in the right size. A $40 polycarbonate kit plus a $30 ring set is a better plan than a
$150 steel device that turns out to be 4 mm too tight.
